About Us

Inspired by a trip to South America in 1981, we at Rancho Machu Picchu saw the powerful bonding interaction between llamas and their owners, children and families as they went about their business. Coupled with our family history of European craftsmanship and immigrant roots, we admired the pride of spinners and weavers, both men and women, who shared their finished products with us. We truly respected their sincere and honest connection with the earth and it’s renewable marketable products. This awakening of our appreciation for our own roots challenged us to provide more experiences and products for our family, clients, and customers.
Returning home we utilized our many years of education in the medical, livestock, art and textile design areas, combined with education in environmental and investment fields as the foundation for our business. Our multidimensional consultant capability has earned us a reputation as top llama breeders, textile design specialists, aviculturists, horticulturists, historically sound viticulture and enology specialists and dedicated native species preservationists. We have lectured and presented workshops extensively throughout North America on llamas, fiber, animal interrelationships, textile use and marketing, have been featured on PM Magazine and Animal Planet, That’s My Baby. We have taught and produced numerous textile, millenary, metal, wood, leather and alternative media arts, as well.
Having restored and preserved native woodland properties and gardens, established environmentally responsible vineyard management, we are producing multiple products from these environmentally healthy herd and crop management practices and educate our clients on how they can contribute to preservation in their own lives. We know you will want to purchase our exotic, unique and rare products to enjoy yourself and share with your family and friends. The following pages show you our commitment to providing a wide array of products to enhance your life and lifestyle which is the goal of Rancho Machu Picchu, Old Coach Vineyards and A Vested Interest.
